Motorcycle Tires

When you''re out riding your bike, keep one thing in the back of your mind...the only thing making contact with that asphalt layer you''re cruising on are your motorcycles tires. And that''s the only thing you want making contact with the highway.

Road rash sucks... I''ve had it... It hurts.

Always check your tire pressure before heading out for a Sunday cruise.  You might want to invest a couple of bucks in a tread depth gauge. Below 3/32 of an inch at the tire''s center, it''s time to invest in new motorcycle tires. If you have to let your motorcycle sit for long periods of time, check for dry rot in the tire''s sidewalls before heading out for that first ride of the season.

Do not ride with a patched tire...at the least, don''t ride far. The motorcycle shop where I worked did not allow tire patching by our techs. If you can''t afford a new tire buy a good used one as a temporary fix until you can get a new one. Remember to check the tread depth and overall condition before installation.

I''ve set up a few pages of tires based on the ones I feel offer the best ridability and value. If your motorcycles tires need replacing check out my pages as you get time.
